Floreat.

With architectural masterpieces lining the streets, Floreat is highly sought-after for its beautiful properties and proximity to the city and beaches. Joining the ranks of the affluent western suburbs, Floreat is home to many mid-century properties, including the Paganin House, the former home of mid-century architect Iwan Iwanoff.

Situated in the vibrant Town of Cambridge, eight kilometres from Perth, and with a population of almost 8,000, median house prices sit around the $1.7 million mark. This affluent neighbourhood boasts plenty of open green spaces, including the Perry Lakes Reserve spanning over 80 hectares of lakes, reserves, trails and playgrounds.

Floreat was home to Perry Lakes Stadium, which hosted the 1962 Perth British Empire and Commonwealth Games and has since hosted many sporting events, and concerts, including the Rolling Stones in 1995. Demolished in 2008, the site was developed into a high-end housing estate designed with modernist architecture with nods to its sporting past in the names of the streets and repurposed materials. Floreat retains a strong connection to its sporting history with world-class facilities, including the Western Australian Athletics Stadium.

Although technically part of the City Beach suburb, it’s just four kilometres to the turquoise waters of Floreat Beach and coastal walking trails.
