Castle Hill

Suburb Profile

Overview

Castle Hill is an evolving suburb steeped in colonial history. Over the last thirty years the suburb has seen large population growth and is continuing to grow at a rapid rate, all the while providing a highly desirable lifestyle for its residents.

Castle Hill is popular for its quiet, leafy streets and large homes with superb views of the Blue Mountains. The Bidjigal Reserve, with 186 hectares of bush land, provides many walking trails.

The Castle Mall and Castle Towers shopping centre, now connected by a lovely plaza walk way, provide ceaseless shopping, eating and entertainment options, including an indoor playground, two department stores, many boutique and specialty stores, and two Event cinema multiplexes. A new library and community centre is conveniently located beside Castle Towers.

There are many schools and childcare centres within the area including public schools and private schools, helping to make the area popular with young families. The North West Rail Link is scheduled to be open to the public in 2019, meanwhile Castle Hill is well serviced by private buses including an express service to Sydney CBD, which takes less than thirty minutes.
