If something occurs outside office hours, the contractors below can assist with emergency repairs. For non-urgent issues, please log a request via PropertyMe and we’ll handle it during business hours.

The RTA classifies emergencies as issues like burst pipes, serious roof leaks, gas or electrical dangers, or anything that makes the property unsafe.

Major water leak or burst pipes?
If water is flowing continuously, please turn off the water at the mains if it is safe to do so. The tap is usually located near the water meter at the front of the property.
Turn the tap clockwise until tight, then contact one of the emergency plumbers listed above.
Common issues:
Smoke alarm beeping?
If there is a fire, call 000. For non-urgent beeping, SATS offers a 24-hour support line: 1300 41 66 67.
Broken or cracked window?
If the glass is shattered or the property cannot be secured, please contact a glazier to make the window safe. If the glass is cracked but still intact, please report the issue through the PropertyMe portal during business hours and include a photo.
Locked out?
During business hours, call us to see if we have a spare key available.

Wet season tips:
Mould
If you suspect a leak, please log it in PropertyMe. Improve airflow with open windows and fans, use your air conditioner’s dry mode to reduce humidity, wipe damp areas regularly, and treat mould with Exit Mould, vinegar/clove oil, or EAS products.
Tiny ants & pests
Common in the Cairns wet season; harmless but annoying. Ant baits or sprays usually help.

When wild weather is forecast, take these simple precautions to protect yourself and your home:
• Bring inside anything that could blow away
• Pack an emergency kit: torch, water, snacks, first aid, important docs
• Don’t drive through floodwaters “If it’s flooded, forget it!”
