Leafy, quiet and downright convenient, Rochedale and Rochedale South are well-positioned to access some of Brisbane’s greatest assets. Jump on the freeway, and you can be in Brisbane City or the beautiful Moreton Bay region, in under 30 minutes. A little closer to home, Underwood Park in neighbouring Priestdale, boasts scenic grounds made for leisurely picnics and has plenty of room for outdoor play, while the much-loved Daisy Hill Conservation Park, complete with a Koala enclosure, is just down the road.
Rochedale and Rochedale South have long been a haven for families – it’s where family homes, of all shapes and sizes, line leafy streets and backyard barbeques are the norm. But it’s the homes on large blocks of land, and the new estates in Rochedale that are the most highly prized. Schools aplenty service the growing community, plus locals have easy access to various Griffith University’s campuses. Open parklands with playgrounds and walking trails are scattered throughout, and there are plenty more options nearby with sun-kissed playing fields and courts. For those who prefer their fitness indoors, Logan North Aquatic and Fitness Centre, complete with lap and splash pools, is close at hand.
Rochedale Shopping Village along Underwood Road is a cluster of shops that cater to everyday necessities and conveniences, but when in need of a more extensive offering, neighbouring suburbs step up to the plate – Upper Mount Gravatt, Springwood, Underwood and Shailer Park. But, the real drawcard for Rochedale and Rochedale South is the laid-back lifestyle, with plenty of room to breathe but still be within easy reach of Brisbane’s major hubs and amenities.
