Pretty Beach.

A white sandy beach, charming beach shacks and kangaroos hopping about – sounds like something out of a whimsical children’s book, doesn’t it? This is actually the setting that greets you when visiting Pretty Beach on Sydney’s Central Coast.

As the name suggests, Pretty Beach is a darling waterside suburb in the Central Coast, 24 kilometres south of Gosford and 103 kilometres north of Sydney. With only a couple hundred locals residing in the area, Pretty Beach is one of the smallest suburbs in size and population on the Central Coast. The quaint waterfront hub is nestled between Wagstaffe and Hardys Bay and is blessed with the great green swathe of the Bouddi National Park to the south. Although Pretty Beach’s shore is connected to Brisbane Water and not the ocean, the idyllic hub still attracts many Sydney holidaymakers.

With only a public school in town, Pretty Beach offers a secluded and tranquil lifestyle, making it an appealing suburb for retirees and older couples and families. Relaxation and solitude is an obvious drawcard for Pretty Beach residents, who enjoy the serenity and natural beauty of the area. While everyday amenities aren’t easy to come by in town, Pretty Beach’s proximity to neighbouring Hardys Bay and Killcare ensures that conveniences are not far out of reach.

If complete relaxation in a picturesque setting surrounded by calm waters and national parks is your idea of bliss, then Pretty Beach is right up your alley.
