Mount Lofty.
Situated in the north-eastern corner of Toowoomba, Mount Lofty is a charming suburb with stunning views over the regional city.
An hour or so drive from Brisbane, Mount Lofty sits pretty atop the Great Dividing Range, overlooking the greater Brisbane region to the east and Toowoomba and the Darling Downs to the west. Generously sized Queenslanders, modest weatherboard cottages and contemporary homes line the hilltop suburb’s streets, with some properties backing onto Jubillee Park occupying a spacious few acres.
With much of the suburb taken up by Jubilee Park, there are countless bushwalks and bike tracks for active residents who are keen to explore the area’s natural environment. The Toowoomba Mountain Bike Club maintains around 20 tracks through Jubilee Park, attracting mountain bikers from all over the state.
Duo Bakery Café on Mary Street ensures Mount Lofty residents get their daily caffeine hit, and with Toowoomba Centre within 5 minutes’ drive from the suburb a full range of retail and dining options leave locals spoilt for choice. For a grocery run without the crowds, resident’s head 5 minutes north to Northpoint Shopping Centre in Harlaxton.
Mount Lofty is situated close to a range of public and private schooling options, and with a vibrant cultural scene, especially during the renowned Carnival of Flowers in September, the suburb is the perfect place to settle down and become immersed in the welcoming community.
