Croydon Park

Suburb Profile

Croydon Park is a family orientated suburb that has all the qualities of inner city living with a natural, healthy family environment less than 10 km from the city. The suburb has a predominance of character filled homes, such as Californian bungalows and Federation style houses built on large blocks. Wide, tree lined streets make for plenty of on-street parking.

Croydon Park has a great village feel where locals come together to enjoy award-winning restaurants along Georges Rd. It’s also just a few kilometres from Westfield Burwood, Ashfield Mall, Burwood Plaza, and a 15-minute drive to Rhodes or Marrickville Metro.

There are plenty of parks such as Flockhart Park, Rosedale Reserve, Henley Park and Croydon Park, as well as parklands all along the Cooks Rivers. A cycle way along the Cooks River connects with Olympic Park and continues to Botany Bay. The Canterbury Aquatic and Fitness Centre provides a 50 and 25 metre swimming pool complex and ice rink.

Croydon Park is walking distance to Ashfield, Canterbury, Croydon, and Ashbury and buses run to the nearby Ashfield and Croydon train stations. Fast city trains depart from Burwood and Ashfield on Western & Inner-West lines, or head south via Campsie train station. CBD-bound buses can be caught from all along George's River Road.
