Chatswood’s multiculturalism reflects in its mouth-watering dining options. Be it Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Italian or Mediterranean, duck over to the food court at the interchange, ‘The District’, for incredible food options. For those feeling adventurous, shop at one of the many Asian grocers and delicatessens for the ingredients to whip up your own masterpiece.

Further down Victoria Avenue is The Concourse, a cultural hub which encompasses the library with a rooftop garden, a concert hall which is home to the Willoughby Symphony and Willoughby Choir. It is also home to Art Space, a professional art gallery showcasing curated exhibits.

One of Chatswood’s most popular pastimes is window shopping. The commercial retail precinct is bursting at the seams with two major shopping areas – Westfield Shopping Centre and Chatswood Chase – and off-street arcades and retail shops. Just when you thought the shopping centre couldn’t get any bigger, they found a way – in 2015, Westfield completed a $110 million development project bringing more fashion and dining options.

Major international brands have based their headquarters in one of the high-rise buildings around the transport interchange, playing their role in Chatswood reputation for being Sydney’s third largest CBD.

Step away from the commercial district and you are greeted by quiet suburbia, beautiful parks and bushland. These include the beloved rose garden in Beauchamp Park, walking tracks in Ferndale Park and the Fullers Park trail that winds into bordering Lane Cove National Park, which itself boasts an abundance of outdoor activities.

Old and new sit side by side in Chatswood highlighting the suburb’s redevelopment phases. Around the commercial district, high-rise apartments are in abundance with new developments sprouting up around Albert Avenue and Johnston Street. Step away into the much quieter streets to find Californian bungalows, period and Federation homes lining the wide leafy streets. Large blocks with double-storey homes are still found along Mowbray Road.
