This note is long overdue but on the basis of ‘better late than never’ we want to thank you for helping us to sell our Erskineville house last year.
As you will recall the interest in the place was far greater than any of us had anticipated. This in itself could have been overwhelming for us as first time sellers. Add to that us negotiating an inter-state move with one of us already doing a weekly commute, and a toddler to wrangle, the process had the potential to be incredible stressful. Having spent over 10 years living at our home in Middle Street the decision to sell was one we didn’t make lightly. Middle Street was out home and we had some fantastic friendships and shared a chat with neighbours almost daily. Not to mention our Christmas fairy light competition with the award plate handed out at the street Christmas party.
So when a friend told us of a house for sale in their street that met our needs and where we had met neighbours it sounded too good to be true. With my business expanding off street parking and a home office were badly needed so the house two streets away became our new home.
We did the renovation rescue and listed our property. Unfortunately our agent was unable to see the sale through. So two weeks on the market and disaster. Our stress levels were unbearable and paying two mortgages really made us feel the house would never sell and our move had been foolish.
Paul was a God send. We had bought before selling in a very uncertain market. A house across the road had sold for a less than a spectacular price and it was January (possibly the worst time of the year for a quick sale at top price with most people on holidays).
