Talking to Property Manager Kayla Kingston, you quickly realise she has found her dream job. Growing up in Bateau Bay on the NSW Central Coast, Kayla started in 2015 as a weekend receptionist then moved to the area’s largest agency, quickly moving to property management, overseeing a rent role of between 150 and 200 properties. Kayla then accepted an opportunity to relocate to Sydney and take on a Property Management role with Belle Property Lane Cove. Prior to real estate, Kayla spent time in England and Europe working in hospitality. However, she says the greatest thing about living and working overseas was being exposed to different cultures and meeting people from diverse backgrounds.
It was that experience that made the decision to move to Sydney, and into a role with Belle Property, an easy one. Kayla always wanted to get into real estate and eventually decided property management was something she would enjoy and hasn’t looked back. She particularly enjoys the process of matching properties with the right tenants, dealing with high pressure situations and facing challenges head on to achieve a successful outcome for her clients.
Kayla has been actively involved in sport her entire life, and believes this has taught her how to work well independently and as part of team. Similarly, Kayla says it’s the team culture at Belle Property that really attracted her to the property management role. She says the core values are what makes the company such an outstanding one to work for. As a result, Kayla regards her role as much more than a property management “job”. She calls it a lifestyle and is thrilled to be building relationships and creating loyalty between herself and her clients, and landlords and their tenants.
