How will agents market my property?
Our usual approach to superior property marketing remains in place. We will still be using high quality imagery, video, floor plans and in some cases, 3D tours of properties to give buyers the best view of the home from the comfort of theirs.
Social media browsing has increased exponentially over recent weeks – around 16 per cent growth on Facebook and 12 per cent growth on Instagram so social media continues to be a key channel to showcase your property to a lot of eyeballs!
We will also still be promoting properties across the widely used property portals, as well as inside our popular magazine, Sitchu Living.
How will buyers inspect my property without open homes?
Inspections are still available; however, given Government guidance these are via private appointment only and only one person (unless they are from the same household) can view the property at a time.
We can also conduct open homes virtually, via FaceTime, WhatsApp video call or any other private video technology, which we will also be offering buyers as an alternative to viewing the property in person.
How will you ensure my property is not put at risk during private inspections?
Before booking private appointments, we will contact the buyer to conduct a survey about their health, travel and general wellness to ensure they are well enough to view the property.
Throughout the inspection all buyers will be asked to avoid touching surfaces and will be provided with hand sanitiser.
We will also of course, avoid shaking hands and wash our hands thoroughly after each inspection and will meet all Government recommendations at any present moment.
How can I sell via auction?
We will be offering online auctions where we can take online or phone bids, so auctions can proceed if you wish to sell your home in this way.
Online auctions offer all the same functionality as traditional auctions, although no physical crowd, and we’ve been seeing great success and positive results since implementing them over the past few weeks.

What other methods are there for managing the sale?
We will still be selling via For Sale / private treaty options and using our negotiation skills and extensive database networks to get the best possible price for your property.

Can you still appraise my property during COVID-19?
Yes, we are still available and fully capable of appraising property. If you are comfortable, one agent is still able to come to your home to conduct the appraisal, or we can undertake the appraisal virtually using FaceTime, WhatsApp video call or any other form of private, live video.
We will still be able to give you a clear view of your property’s worth using these virtual tools. It’s a good idea to speak to your local agent directly, about what you are comfortable with.
