Rick Nicholson has done a wonderful job for myself and my husband in selling of our home in Leichhardt and the subsequent buying of our new property in Lewisham.
Rick Nicholson was exceptionally professional and approachable from the beginning. We first engaged him via a cold call to the office and Rick came out to see us the same day. At that stage we were deciding on whether to stay and renovate our 2 bedroom home, or to sell it renovated and move into a 3 bedroom property with our 2 bays. Rick’s advice to us was not motivated by trying to engage us to sell the property, but rather based in estimated return figures. We decided after crunching the numbers to move on.
We engaged Rick and went on to have a painless sale 2 weeks prior to auction for a price well above out expectations which was encouraging in this current market.
When another house listed by Rick looked like coming into our price range in the next week, Rick quickly notified us, organized a private viewing and times for the relevant inspections prior to purchase. When our maximum offer still fell slightly short of the vendors expectation, Rick spent an evening with the vendors and was able to negotiate all parties to a mutually acceptable arrangement.

You know on eBay, when you are asked to rate a supplier, the number of stars etc, well I’ll do the same for Rick Nicholson. He professionally sold our townhouse in Erskineville, this last Saturday for a record and very satisfying price. This was crucial to us, as it formed a major part of my and Pauline’s pensions.
The poor man – he was worked off his feet for a whole month attending to enquiries and showing people through. As promised, I got twice weekly reports (we live Interstate), ‘uber’ professional and insightful in nature. He built a picture of the likely Purchasers, their desires and capacity. We were kept in the loop throughout. As absent vendors, I had misgivings about managing an auction ie. Being pressured to accept a price, over the phone, in the spur of the moment. No chance with Rick , as we sort of knew the minimum and likely ‘on the day’ scenario might be – exceeded of course.
I hope he dealt ass fairtly and honestly with the prospective Purchasers as he did with us, but you will have to ask them. I’ve gathered that selling real estate is a tough, competitive business, but that does not mean you can’t be polite, honest and genuine. Rick, from what I know of him, had these qualities, and he’s not ‘pushy’ to boot.
In terms of persona, he’s a natural at what he does, perfect for the role and enthusiastic, dare I say, everybody’s friend. I had his masterly knowledge, experience and strategy coming at me in every briefing. I recommend you listen and contribute to strategy, as it worked for us.
